A Day in the Life of a Treeing Hound

We're wrapping up our 2013-2014 lion season, and just wanted to share a few pictures of this last hunt. While I didn't get to go myself, Caleb took some incredible photos so I was able to see what went on. These dogs got so close to the lion that spit was flying onto the lions face... One of the dogs, Junior, got a nice slap across the face before he was thrown off a small cliff by the lion. He is now sleeping in the house while he recuperates, and he is milking it for all it's worth!

Thelma and Junior baying the lion up on the ground.

These dogs are amazing! They are bred for tracking and treeing, and they absolutely love what they do!
